Resort owner, guard killed
BARAS, Rizal A resort owner and his security guard were shot and stabbed to death by two men suspected to be "tax collectors" of the New Peoples Army (NPA). Melencio Cainia, 50, of sitio Sumipit, barangay San Jose, Baras, suffered a bullet wound in the forehead and knife wounds in the body, while Nolito Nazilia, 23, stay-in security guard at Wells Farm Resort, died of a bullet wound near the ear with the slug exiting at the back of the head.
