PHILADELPHIA--Sept. 16--For a couple of guys who have been seeing the country on about $10 a day, the chance for a ride to New York for a buck was too good to pass up.
"We're flying out of New York, going to Europe," said Kyle Mack, settling in aboard the 3 o'clock Peter Pan bus bound for Manhattan. "We were going to use Greyhound, but on the way over we saw this."
They would have been hard-pressed not to see it, actually. The Peter Pan-Trailways fare from Philadelphia to New York is just $1, Wednesday and Thursday only. And to make sure people know about it, the bus company sent folks wearing sandwich boards to the front doors of the Greyhound station around ...
