STATIA ABSTAINS. Bonaire, Curacao, Saba and Dutch St. Maarten (commonly called the Netherlands Antilles) ended a two- day constitutional summit with the signing of an agreement, reports Caribbean Net News (May 2, 2005). Officials from St. Eustatius (Statia), which forms part of the Netherlands Antilles refused to sign, contending that they disagreed with the document.
