Battle Mountain Gold Exploration Corp. ("Battle Mountain Gold") is pleased to announce that its Joint Venture company, Pediment Gold LLC ("Pediment Gold"), has entered into a joint venture exploration and development agreement with Placer Dome U.S., Inc. ("Placer Dome"), wherein Placer Dome has granted the right to explore and develop a prospective, gravel-covered pediment property controlled by Placer Dome. The property is located within the Battle Mountain -- Eureka Gold Trend, approximately six miles north of the three-million ounce Marigold Mine, in Humboldt County, Nevada.
