Maxygen, Inc. announced today that it will advance a novel factor VII program into preclinical development and as a part of its ongoing internal portfolio prioritization will terminate development of its interferon beta program.

Maxygen has generated a novel factor VIIa (MAXY-VII) molecule that may provide a more effective treatment for uncontrolled bleeding.
