Dairyland Agrees to Buy Stake in Weston 4 Plant
Officials of Wisconsin Public Service Corporation, a subsidiary of WPS Resources Corporation and Dairyland Power Cooperative (Dairyland), have signed an agreement for Dairyland to acquire a 30 percent ownership share of the Weston 4 power plant currently under construction near Wausau, WI. The agreement would give Dairyland at least a 150-megawatt share of the plant. Dairyland's acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and financing.
