May 20--Florida's booming adult arcade industry scored a quiet legislative victory earlier this month that could mean law enforcement will have a tougher time shutting down the controversial businesses.
A three-word amendment tucked into a consumer protection measure passed unanimously by the Florida House and Senate could give adult arcades a boost to combat attacks they say are led by the state's pari-mutuels. The pari-mutuels didn't learn about the amendment until after the legislative session ended.
