May 20--OAK RIDGE -- Cleanup operations have resumed at an old nuclear site, nine months after workers were contaminated with radioactivity.
Bechtel Jacobs Co., the government's environmental manager, and subcontractors are doing some decontamination work and preparing for removal of nuclear materials at Oak Ridge National Laboratory's "Hot Storage Garden." Storage wells at the small facility were used years ago to store spent nuclear fuel and other radioactive materials.
