Frank Rinker, 59, has stepped down as CEO of Gwinnett Health System, Lawrenceville, Ga., telling the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he was forced out of his post. "It's not ever been mutual. They retired me,'' he told the paper. "I don't know why.'' Rinker was "terminated without good cause'' under the terms of his contract and will collect his $350,000 salary through the end of next year, the system says. Rinker led the system since 1982.
