BSkyB has taken a step towards expanding its Sky Active entertainment portal into an interactive TV destination with a mix of original programming.
The satellite broadcaster is exploring the potential for video content on Sky Active by creating a series of new entertainment shows to be broadcast exclusively on the portal.
The strategy will initially see Sky Active target daytime and late- night viewers with two shows designed to attract audiences to its interactive gaming and dating applications.
