North Yorkshire-based blue cheese maker Shepherds Purse has unveiled two new cheeses--Basilano and Bell-Peppered Buffalo.
Basilano is a clean, fresh, white ewe's milk cheese, which is marinaded in a luxury blend of Italian and English herbs to create a visually impressive combination of colours with a pesto-style rind. Handmade to a unique recipe, devised by Shepherds Purse founder Judy Bell, Basiliano boasts a fresh, Adriatic flavour profile that marries perfectly with the creamy texture of the cheese.
