Aylesford Newsprint produces one percent of the world's total newsprint from its plant in Kent, achieved exclusively from recycled materials. Every year, half a million tonnes of waste magazines and newspapers are collected from more than 2000 paper banks and kerbside schemes throughout the UK Some 400,000 tonnes of high quality newsprint is produced at the rate of a mile a minute, on two highly automated production lines.
