275,000 Visitors, 6,000 Performers Expected at Largest Festival of its Kind in North America
SEATTLE, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2005 Northwest Folklife Festival -- the largest folk, ethnic and traditional arts festival west of the other Washington -- will be held Memorial Day weekend, May 27th through 30th, at Seattle Center. This year's event, one of the largest in the Festival's 34-year history, will feature 6,000 musicians, dancers, tradition bearers and visual artists, in more than 1,000 music and dance performances, visual arts and folklore exhibits, symposia, workshops, craft and cooking demonstrations and films.
