Q. I just bought organic brake pads and wore them out in one weekend. Can I find longer lasting brake pads without paying too much?

A. There are a lot of factors that contribute to brake wear such as riding style, the weight and power of your ATV and the type of terrain where you do your riding, particularly if it is muddy or sandy. Mud and sand can be very abrasive when stuck between your brakes and rotors causing both to wear more rapidly. Organic pads, because they are made of fibrous material including particles of metal, do not cut through the sand and mud.
