A hunter who has spent time in a wall tent is a man who has known misery.
A wall tent is either hot as a sauna or damp as a crypt. Wall tents leak in the rain and flap in the wind. Near their perimeter they force you to walk like a hunchback. A six-man wall tent can accommodate the rifles, boots, jackets and doodads of no more than four hunters without someone turning into a sociopath; a four-man wall can barely handle two.
Yet, we put up with them. Wall tents are as much a part of hunting as beans and bullets. They are the motels of mountains and woods.
