A the recent Tire Technology Expo, Tim Davis, the first main speaker, gave his job function as a statistical engineer. He now works for Ford, but previously worked under Roger Williams at Dunlop in the UK. He did not speak about tyres, but more about the task of the engineering department. I listened attentively but this speech has made a stronger and stronger impression on me since then.
