May 26--A Macungie woman alleged in Bucks County Court on Wednesday that she lost her sense of smell after using a zinc-based nasal spray manufactured by Quigley Corp. of Doylestown.
Dolores Smith of 2789 Terrwood Drive East asked for $300,000 in damages, alleging that a single use of the nasal spray version of Cold-Eeze in 2003 resulted in anosmia, which is the loss of the ability to smell.
Smith's case is the second suit filed in Bucks County Court against Quigley by users of the nasal spray. In November, nine customers who live in California, Massachusetts, Virginia, Washington, New York and Minnesota filed a similar ...
