May 26--The Tombras Group, Knoxville's largest advertising agency with $63 million in annual billings, has acquired Johnson City branding and marketing communications firm Evergrow.
The move adds four employees to Tombras' Tri-Cities' operations, doubling the company's operations there. Evergrow's owner, Dan Cogan, is retiring, and a sixth employee left the company, said John Cahill, Tombras general manager and senior vice president of the Tri-Cities office.
Cahill, who will head up account teams at the Tri-Cities Tombras agency with Lori Cogan, declined to say what Tombras paid for Evergrow.
