WASHINGTON - With the Cubs having built a little momentum, the last thing they wanted was any cold water dumped on it Saturday night.
The Cubs and the Washington Nationals saw plenty of water during storms that delayed the start of Saturday's game 2 hours and 40 minutes.
The second cold slap to hit the Cubs came when starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano had to leave the game in the bottom of the fourth inning with what the Cubs described as "lateral forearm tightness" in his right arm.
After the Cubs lost 4-3, trainer Mark O'Neal clarified the diagnosis as Zambrano being "sore on the lateral ...
