Pleasant Hill junior
earns Eagle Scout rank
Cameron Pope, a member of Troop No. 417 in Pleasant Hill, was honored at an Eagle Court of Honor Thursday at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Eagle Scout is the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America.
Pope, a junior at Pleasant Hill High School, is the son of Ritch and Barb Pope of Dexter. A Scout for 11 years, he has earned 33 merit badges, logged more than 100 nights camping, 200 miles hiking and 100 hours of service work.
