Early in the 20th century, Weston A. Price, DDS, became concerned by the high incidence of tooth decay and narrowed dental arch and facial structure that was becoming increasingly prevalent in the US. During the 1920s and '30s, he and his wife traveled the globe to study isolated populations that adhered to traditional diets, devoid of processed food and refined sugar and grains.
