Correction: A May 16 story, "Lawyers for hire on AT&T's case,'' contained several errors and omitted information. Due to production and editing errors, an early version of the story was published rather than the final version. The story should have reported that AT&T Corp. has engaged a temporary employment agency to furnish 335 contract attorneys to supplement work done by Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP on the long-distance telephone company's sale to SBC Communications Inc., rather than saying the Chicago-based law firm had retained a temporary employment agency to outsource the work.
