Two more regional specialities will be added to the EU's list of protected foods next week.
Italian cheese speciality Ricotta Romana and Alsatian honey ('Miel d'Alsace') will join the list of official 'Protected Designations of Origin' and 'Protected Geographical Indications, which now number over 700.
They include well-known delicacies such as Roquefort cheese and Parma ham, but also number more esoteric entries like Newcastle Brown Ale.
