HOLLYWOOD -- Peter Byrne, who helped launch 20th Century Fox's powerful licensing and merchandising department, is ankling the studio.
Byrne spent the past four years as exec VP of licensing and merchandising at 20th Century Fox, where he oversaw both film and TV properties.
A replacement will be named shortly.
Byrne had overseen "The Simpsons" merchandising since joining the studio in December 1997, starting in Europe and then moving to L.A. in 2001 to expand the studio's licensing and merchandising program in the Byrne U.S.
