NORWALK -- A Norwalk manufacturer that contemplated moving to Nevada has expanded its operations locally and will hire more than 30 new workers in the next few year as it steps up production of a proprietary lid product.
While Polystar Packaging has committed short-term to remain in the city, chief executives of the company said that unless the state comes through with various forms of enterprise zone and other incentive financing, its stay in Norwalk could be just that -- short-term.
Polystar leased 20,000 square feet at 2 Testa Place where it will open a manufacturing facility, relocating from its current site on Harbor Avenue by the end of this year.
