LOS ALTOS, Calif. -- In a signal that the fortunes of many of the country's personnel service providers have turned for the better, 98 public and private U.S. staffing companies, a 12% increase, had revenues of $100 million or more last year, according to Staffing Industry Analysts, Inc., which released its annual report in the May 27, 2005 issue of its newsletter, Staffing Industry Report. Together these companies did more than $98 billion worth of business worldwide.
The five largest U.S. staffing companies all showed strong growth, and their order did not change. Adecco SA (NYSE:ADO) was number one followed by Manpower Inc. (NYSE:MAN), Vedior NV, Randstad ...
