Q. Last year my variegated Queen Anne's lace plants had some leaves that were large and green instead of the beautiful leaves I had in previous years. I removed those leaves but I wondered if that will happen again this year and, if so, what should I do about it? I really don't like those large green leaves on the plant.
A. Your Queen Anne's lace (Daucus carota) is a distant relative of the carrot. The ancestors of your plants may have had solid green leaves. There are many variations of the carrot today.
