The Naperville Riverwalk went to the dogs Sunday.
More than 200 canines joined their owners on a stroll along Naperville's downtown gem to help other four-legged friends.
The 1-mile Roverwalk fund-raiser was expected to raise more than $30,000 for the Naperville Humane Society.
"It's a worthwhile organization: The humane society is taking dogs ... that people get rid of like their furniture," said walker Lara Meissner of Naperville, who was out with her Westie named Cede and miniature pinscher, Zeus. "We love our dogs like our kids."
