JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Regency Centers Corporation along with its joint venture partner, Macquarie CountryWide Trust of Australia, announced today completion of the previously-announced purchase of the CalPERS/First Washington portfolio, closing on 100 retail centers totaling approximately 12.8 million square feet. Since the announcement of the First Washington acquisition one of the properties in the portfolio, Edgewater Commons, will be purchased by the 50 per cent joint owner, reflecting the owner's right under a buy sell agreement. The transaction was valued at approximately $2.68 billion.
