The Starting Line, "Based on a True Story" (Drive Thru/Geffen)
A few years back, The Starting Line blew the pop-punk scene away with their debut, "Say It like You Mean It," featuring the instant classic single, "The Best of Me."
After an acoustic EP to whet audiences' appetites, the quartet is back with their second full-length, the sometimes disturbingly intimate "Based on a True Story."
While the band's debut relied on crunching distortion and clean arpeggios, the new album is more aggressive than its predecessor. "Making Love to the Camera" is an extremely catchy number and an obvious choice for the next single.
