Jun. 4--The Board of Investment (BoI) yesterday approved 12 major industrial projects worth 216.74 billion baht, including a 90.2-billion-baht steelmaking venture proposed by the Sahaviriya Group, according to Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak.
Sahaviriya has proposed to invest a total of nearly 500 billion baht over five phases to construct two mills in Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chumphon provinces to produce upstream and intermediate steel products.
