Bewick, Marguerite Loomis
EVANSVILLE - Marguerite Loomis Bewick, age 83, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at the Evansville Manor Nursing Home. She was born on May 31, 1921, in Tellico Plains Tenn., the daughter of Edward Percy (Rosa Hickey) Loomis. She spent her childhood in Avon Park and in 1938, at age 16, she attained her pilots License. She attended college at Sullens University in Bristol, Tenn. Marguerite met Bill Bewick Easter Eve at a going away party for General Patton in 1942 at the officers club at Fort Benning.
