IRVINE, Calif.--Oct. 1--Taco Bell Corp. sounded a distinct warning Thursday: Without an improved headquarters to accommodate its ambitious expansion appetite, it's ready to leave California.
PepsiCo's Mexican fast-food subsidiary - whose distinctive mission signature has defined its presence for 30 years - wants more space and a cut in the premium rent it pays at the mirrored, 12-story Irvine headquarters complex that houses 800 Taco Bell employees.
"We believe it's prudent to consider the benefits as well as the drawbacks of relocating," said Taco Bell Vice President Rudy Pollak.
