BEECHWOOD -- Once a month, the population of Beechwood doubles as vehicles stream into the unincorporated village from all directions, parking in the ditch in some places and lining the roadside in others.
What could cause such a phenomenon in such a sleepy little back roads destination in the southwestern corner of Sheboygan County.?
If you listen intensely, you might be able to hear the answer underneath the calls of "see you next month" and the crumple of paper bags.
The answer is the subtle squeak that can only come from cheese curds.
The first Saturday of every month is Curd Day at the Beechwood Cheese ...
