CANNES -- Spanish sales consortium Latido Films has added toon pic "De Profundis The Sound of the Sea" to its Cannes slate.
The film is the first from Continental Animacion, the new toon division of expanding Spanish film-TV house Continental Prods.
"Sound" is directed by Miguelanxo Prado, known in Europe as a comicbook author oriented toward social issues and in the U.S. as a character creator and style director on the animation series "Men in Black" and "Starship Troopers." He also scripted "Chalk Trace," which was optioned by Miramax Films.
