Visual art still is a developing presence in the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, which is celebrating a second year.
The arts festival, which continues through June 12 at several venues in downtown, Over-the-Rhine and the West End, tilts heavily toward theater.
Exhibitions at the Owen Davis Gallery, 1219 Sycamore St., Over-the Rhine, and the former Hallmark store, Sixth and Walnut, downtown, may be short on highly finished art, but the work is not without displays of developing creativity.
The viewing experience isn't great, either.
