SAN FRANCISCO, June 8 Asia Pulse - Two mayors from Taiwan, along with over 200 heads of cities around the world, committed themselves to making more efforts to green the Earth by signing a "green cities declaration" before the United Nation-sponsored World Environment Day (WED) 2005 activities ended in San Francisco Sunday.
Tainan Mayor Hsu Tain-tsair and Deputy Taipei Mayor Yeh Ching-chuan signed the "Urban Environment Accords," which designate a number of concrete goals in the development of ecologically sustainable urban centers.
