Three weeks after Hannibal voters overwhelmingly defeated a school budget that would have raised taxes by almost 41percent, the board faces a difficult decision at tonight's meeting.
It can cut more programs and staff and submit another, even leaner budget to voters than the $21.5 million plan that eliminated a dozen teaching and administrative positions. There's still time to hold another public vote, which must be advertised and scheduled within 14 days, said Superintendent Michael DiFabio.
