Jun. 9--The Internet has opened a lot of doors, but it's threatening to shut a few for bicycle messengers whose business depends on delivering legal documents to local courthouses.
In the past two years, U.S. District Court and U.S. Bankruptcy Court have installed systems that in most instances require electronic filing of court documents. Other courts in Franklin County are moving toward similar systems.
"It is kind of on everybody's mind, as far as like an impending doom,'' said Anthony Collinger, who owns Kinetic Couriers.
