Philip Clayton Hicks is one of the top students at Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood because he is a hard-working and dedicated student who enjoys learning, said Rick Raabe, his advanced placement history teacher.
"He works very hard, and he does his very best all the time. He always wants to improve on what he's done, which is hard to do when you always do your best anyway," Raabe said of Hicks.
"He dedicates himself wholeheartedly to his classes, to organizations he's in, and that's just kind of the person he is."
