As the longer days bring longer grass, it may be time to take a close look at the gas-powered mower's supposedly benign cousins, electric mowers. A University of Florida (UF) study that compares pollution from cordless, corded, and gasoline-powered mowers in the context of their entire lifecycle reveals some surprising results. The study confirms that traditional gas-powered mowers belch far more smog-forming pollution than battery-powered or corded mowers.
