Jun. 12--OXFORD -- UM FINANCE STUDENTS SECOND IN COMPETITION: Some 60 students enrolled in a finance course in the University of Mississippi's School of Business Administration finished second in a regional competition to research and purchase stocks. Their stock portfolio was bankrolled with a $50,000 allowance from the investment group of Sterne, Agee and Leach of Birmingham, Ala.

The team's winning stocks were (listed alphabetically) Apple Computer Inc., Barrick Gold Corp., Chemed Corp., Intel Corp. and Sony Corp.
