SAN DIEGO -- Before lacing up their walking shoes, nearly 7,000 of the 45,000 participants in the 20th Annual AIDS Walk New York logged on to raise a record-setting $2.3 million in online donations using fundraising tools provided by Kintera(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:KNTA), the leading provider of software as a service to the nonprofit sector. Approximately $6 million has been raised online by the organization since first utilizing Kintera's web-based technology in 2002, when event participants were initially offered personalized websites with linked email by AIDS Walk New York.
