Virginia Beach resident Louise Wilson, former teacher and head of school at Virginia Beach Friends School, moved with her husband, Bob, and children to Linkhorn Park in 1954.
She is the author of "A View from my Window," a history of the Friends Meeting House and school, and "Inner Tenderings," a candid account of her spiritual journey. She also enjoys writing vignettes about her childhood.
This is Wilson's story about the founding of Virginia Beach Friends School:
