Jun. 14--OCALA, Fla. -- Nearly four years since the Horse Fever project galvanized fund-raising for the area's cultural community, the licensed figurines and other products have hit the international retail market and are steadily gaining popularity with global customers.
The products are a spin off of the local public art project Horse Fever showcased in 2001 featuring 53 statues of horses, depicted artistically, raised over $1 million in sponsorships and nearly $800,000 when the horses were auctioned in 2002.
