MELBOURNE, June 14 Asia Pulse - New South Wales-based co-operative Dairy Farmers will lift prices paid to farmers for milk, from July.

Dairy Farmers said farm gate milk prices for the coming financial year would be five to 10 per cent higher than the base price announced last year.

The co-operative draws milk supplies from about 1,250 dairy farmers in Queensland, News South Wales, Victoria and South Australia,

Dairy Farmers said the price increases were confirmed from July 1 to October 31, 2005, and indicative for November 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006.
