Jun. 14--Nobody's talking, but documents show furniture giant American Furniture Warehouse has acquired three Homestead House locations in Westminster, Centennial and Fort Collins.
American Furniture, owned by Jake Jabs, quietly purchased the buildings and land last month for a combined $16.85 million, according to county records.
Both companies have been mum since The Denver Post reported in April that the two chains were negotiating a deal. Homestead House has advertised liquidation sales for several weeks. The stores remain open.
