Price of Siemens mobile phones in China drop 20% after BenQ announces acquisition plans
Shanghai. June 15. INTERFAX-CHINA - A sharp recently drop in the retail price of Siemens brand mobile phones in China is likely the result of marketing measures adopted by distributors, and not the acquisition of Siemens' mobile phone business by BenQ, Siemens (China) Spokesperson Wang Chuandng told Interfax.
"At present, our handset sales strategy and sales model in China remain unchanged. As our cooperation with BenQ has just started, our product launches and marketing strategies will remain in line with our original plans," Wang said.
