It's an age-old question, or maybe just a new-age one: Which is a better way to sell unneeded stuff: garage sales or online?
The well-known online auction company, eBay, recently ran an experiment in Barrington and says it proves online is superior.
And Peter Walsh, star of "Clean Sweep" on TLC TV, endorses any system that knocks excuses out from under people who resist decluttering.
Marjie Malia and her husband, Sean, held a garage sale and sold $554 worth of items and cleared $395 after ads, signs, price stickers and babysitting, according to figures provided by eBay.
