Libby McGinley has made her favorite chocolate cake for countless birthdays, family picnics, graduation parties and wedding and baby showers.
But making it last week at Wegmans corporate headquarters in Rochester was the icing on the cake.
McGinley, 47, was named the grand prize winner of Wegmans' Ultimate Chocolate Cake contest for employees. Two Wegmans employees at Buffalo-area stores took second and third place.
McGinley, who lives in Phoenix, Oswego County, and works in the bakery department at the Cicero store, prepared for judges her "Deep, Dark Chocolate Cake." She will receive a week at ...
